The excitement I felt on November 19th, before the return of Daisy Heartbreaker DJ to the The Sun & 13 Cantons, cannot be explained with words.

Not many function rooms in Soho have the same musical heritage of the Basement Bar at this pub.

DJs and artists such as Carl Cox and The Chemical Brothers have played here. For a music lover like me, this is such a fascinating fact. It was something that captured my attention when I met Pascal Barker after one of my DJ sets at Pacha Ibiza back in 2006.

That year, Pascal was on holidays in the White Island. We exchanged contact info., and he invited me to come to his pub, if one day I was ever in London.

I remember moving from Ibiza to London after a wild and busy summer ’06. I was looking for new ventures in the professional music scene, I was keen on living in the capital of music in Europe, to upgrade my skills in music and grow as a professional artist.

Around January 2007, I was putting together the original concept behind my ‘High Voltage’ party, when the ‘nu rave’ took the electronic music scene by storm and I was in the UK ready to drop my ‘rocktronica’ beats!

As soon as I put the party plans together, I contacted Pascal to visit him at ‘The Sun’. Since then I can’t forget the great vibe at the pub that day… I liked it, DJs scratching some records on the ground floor and people enjoying some ‘after work’ drinks on a Thursday evening at this place next door to Carnaby St., it was simply wicked!

Pascal and I agreed to launch the ‘High Voltage’ party at the ‘Basement Bar’… it was a crazy, great night.

This extraordinary pub is part of my own DJ history and now I would like to invite all those who still haven’t enjoyed a ‘pint of beer’ here, to come around and experience it for themselves.

10 years later, after going back & forwards from Ibiza to London, I’ve finally decided to settle in this incredible city. To celebrate my move, last Saturday, I went back to DJ at my 1st ‘crime scene’ in London, at ‘The Sun & 13 Cantons’. No pressure at all, I just had fun with a wide music selection that went from early hours classic rock ‘n’ roll to indie dance and house to closed the DJ session with some sophisticated deep-house and melodic techno sounds that people enjoyed while it lasted… ‘God save the Sun &… the Queen’ !!!

More dates coming soon…
